To celebrate this musical gem\, a unique concert series will take place throughout summer 2025 at Svrzo’s House\, one of Sarajevo’s most iconic Ottoman-era landmarks. \nEvery Wednesday in July and August\, visitors will have the rare opportunity to enjoy intimate live performances by Damir Imamović\, the country’s most acclaimed modern sevdah artist. A 2021 winner of the “Best European World Music Artist” award\, Damir comes from a family deeply rooted in the tradition of sevdah\, and is known for blending authenticity with contemporary expression. \nSvrzo’s House\, a beautifully preserved national monument\, offers the perfect setting for these concerts. In the courtyards of homes like this\, centuries ago\, young women once sang sevdalinkas to their beloveds—songs of longing\, love\, and sorrow. \nSome performances will also feature renowned guest musicians from Bosnia and the region\, making each evening a special experience. \n🎟️ Tickets are 35 BAM and available online at www.karter.ba.
