Mramor Necropolis is a distinctive form of medieval tombstones unique to this region. Here, you will encounter 80 of these stone monoliths, each bearing witness to a bygone era. These stećci are adorned with captivating geometric motifs that gracefully weave their tales. At the forefront of these designs are symmetrical pairs of spirals, each with its own unique variation. Many of the stećci stand tall as picturesque sljemenjaci with sturdy pedestals, while a few display gently elliptical sides, adding an intriguing twist to their elegance. As you explore further, you’ll also come across motifs such as the radiant rosette, the cross with circular endings, and the intricately twisted ribbon.
