The Osman-Pasha Mosque is located in the Old Town (Kastel), near the main (western) gate and city walls. Built in 1726, this mosque is the endowment of Osman-Pasha Resulbegović and is constructed from finely cut stone with a four-pitched roof that imitates a dome covered in eternit. Adjacent to the right wall of the mosque stands a beautiful 16-meter high stone minaret of octagonal shape, which was one of the most beautiful in Herzegovina.

The mosque was built by Dubrovnik craftsmen, incorporating elements of Mediterranean architecture. It is known as the most spacious mosque in Herzegovina and was a cultural monument protected by the state before the war. In addition to the mosque, Osman-Pasha also built a maktab and a madrasa nearby, which were the first educational institutions in Trebinje.
