…The highest point in Bosnia & Herzegovina…
Maglic is the highest peak of Bosnia & Herzegovina and one of the most popular hiking destinations in the country.
It is located in the eastern part of the country, in the Sutjeska National Park, and stands at an elevation of 2,386 meters (7,828 feet).
The hike to the summit of Maglic is considered a challenging one, but the reward is stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
The most popular route to the summit starts from the Prijevor mountain hut and takes around 6-8 hours to complete, depending on the fitness level of the hiker.
Besides hiking, the Sutjeska National Park offers many other outdoor activities, such as mountain biking, and wildlife watching.
It is also home to the famous Skakavac waterfall & the Perucica primeval forest, one of the last remaining old-growth forests in Europe.
