The necropolis showcases a unique burial tradition – the tombstones are oriented from northwest to southeast, with the head of the deceased pointing northwest and the feet southeast. The intricate carvings on these tombstones reveal the skills of the artisans who crafted them. These masterpieces are made from limestone quarried from the nearby Ošanićko Hill, where an unfinished stećak stands as a tribute to the artisans’ craftsmanship.
