Indigo & Aleksandar Hemon Unite Music and Literature at Garden of Dreams Festival 2025
On May 28, the Sarajevo War Theatre (SARTR) becomes the stage for a unique fusion of sound, words, and visual art as Mirza Rahmanović Indigo, a renowned DJ, producer, and member of the Garden of Dreams and After Affair collectives, joins forces with acclaimed Bosnian-American writer Aleksandar Hemon.
Their collaborative performance opens the Garden of Dreams Festival 2025 with a powerful blend of electronic music, literature, and visual storytelling, creating an immersive experience that transcends traditional forms.
The event is inspired by PODROOM, SARTR’s experimental production for which Indigo composed an original soundscape—not merely a soundtrack, but an emotional and sonic narrative built from loops, ambience, distortion, and silence. This work has since evolved into a full-length album, offering a raw and resonant listening experience.
In this live performance, Hemon’s evocative text—shaped by his experience writing for projects like The Matrix Resurrections—intertwines with Indigo’s atmospheric sound to craft a sensory journey that speaks not just to the ears, but to the soul.
