Morica Han is located in the heart of Sarajevo’s old bazaar, Baščaršija. It was constructed in the late 16th or early 17th century and it served as a resting place for travelers and merchants along the caravan routes.
It is actually a historic caravanserai and is the last preserved caravanserai in region.
The han’s architecture showcases traditional Ottoman design, with its characteristic courtyard surrounded by rooms and a central fountain.
Throughout history, Morica Han has experienced several fires, leading to its restoration each time. Today, it stands as a testament to the city’s rich heritage and attracts numerous visitors who are captivated by its historical charm.

The han’s interior now houses various shops, caffe Divan, and restaurant, where visitors can indulge in traditional Bosnian cuisine, shop for unique souvenirs at Isfahan Gallery, or simply soak in the ambiance of this cultural landmark.
